Every year, on the occasion of MLK Day, SOUL puts on this event to celebrate and continue the legacy of Martin Luther King, Jr. It involves some great music, some great speechifying, and concrete demands of elected officials. (Here‘s a post with some footage from the 2011 event.) It’s SOUL’s biggest event of the year. This year SOUL will be putting it on jointly with a number of other organizations from Chicago, Northwest Indiana, and possibly central / southern Illinois.
